Dragon Ninja Warriors puts you in the middle of an invasion. Enemies have crossed from a mysterious world into yours and they surround you, which sets the shape of the game — this is a fighter about managing a crowd rather than duelling. You play a fearless ninja with special powers at your disposal, and the interesting constraint is that using one starts a time counter, after which that power is unavailable until it comes back. So the question is never simply whether to use a power but whether this is the moment worth spending it on. The game has a 3D appearance with rich visual effects and characters that lean into the mystery of where the enemies came from.
