Jump Up Game

Jump Up is a 2D platformer that does the fundamentals without decoration. You move a player through levels filled with enemies and dangerous obstacles, jumping over hurdles, avoiding traps and surviving whatever attacks come your way. Checkpoints break each level into manageable stretches, so a mistake late in a level does not cost you the whole of it — a design decision that makes a demanding platformer worth persisting with. Quick reflexes and perfect timing are what it asks for, and the controls are kept to movement and a jump so there is nothing between your intention and what the character does. It is a clean test of the one skill the genre is built on.
