Lasers and Slime

Lasers and Slime is a frantic reflex test that is refreshingly honest about what it wants from you. Two threats occupy the arena — lasers that cut across it and slimes that pursue you through it — and they demand different responses, so you are constantly switching between avoiding a fixed hazard and outmanoeuvring a moving one. The difficulty increases gradually with every moment and every second rather than in steps, which means there is no plateau to settle into. The game's own warning is the most useful instruction it gives: standing still is not an option here. Movement, jumping, dashing and attacking are all available, so you have the tools to keep up.
