Roguelike RPG delivers the genre's core promise without decoration: ever-changing maps filled with dangerous monsters, and a character who grows stronger with each run. Because the layout is different every time, you cannot learn a route — you have to read a map as you move through it and decide when a fight is worth taking. Strategising, fighting and destroying the creatures you meet is how you survive long enough to collect loot, and the loot is what makes the next run start from a better place. Every decision matters is the game's own framing and the structure backs it up, since a run that ends badly takes its progress with it.
