About Searching for Elizabeth II

Searching for Elizabeth II sends Angelo on a quest to find Elizabeth, his long lost love, and puts a variety of odd creatures between him and her. Two design choices give it more depth than the premise suggests. Coins are not just score — every thirty you collect gives you extra health, so exploring thoroughly is directly a survival strategy rather than a detour from one. And progress is sometimes gated on finding particular objects, which means the way forward is occasionally a search rather than a fight. You can go back the way you came to look for more items and objects, so the world is something to re-cross rather than a one-way corridor.

How to Play

Move with the arrow keys or the on-screen arrows. Click the mouse or tap the screen to shoot. Battle the creatures you meet on the way, collect coins as you go — every thirty gives you extra health — and look for the objects you need to progress. You can backtrack through areas you have already visited to find more.

Tips & Tricks

Treat coin collection as health management rather than scoring, and clear an area properly before moving on. When progress stalls, the answer is usually an object you have not found rather than an enemy you have not beaten. Go back through earlier areas once you have new abilities or know what you are looking for.
