Space Patrol

Space Patrol sends you into an alien world where crystals are the currency of progress — collect them and the next destination opens. Standing between you and them are alien spiders, which are dangerous enough that walking past is rarely an option, and deadly traps built into the environment that end a run outright if you are careless. The movement set is more generous than most platformers of this size: alongside walking and jumping you have a jetpack and a shoe-jet, which turn vertical space into something you can use rather than something that blocks you. The result is a game where routes through a hazardous area are worth thinking about before you commit to one.
