Stay Alive

Stay Alive is the most traditionally structured survival game in this collection, working through the genre's actual sequence rather than abstracting it into waves. You start with an axe and cut down trees, use the wood to build a tent, and then build walls around that tent so cannibals cannot reach you — each step depending on the last. Rocks, bushes and wood all have to be collected, fire has to be made, and when your health drops you eat mushrooms to recover it. The cannibals can be fought until they flee or simply run from, so the game gives you a choice about how to handle a threat rather than a single answer.
