Cog Escape

Cog Escape has a nicely ironic setup. You arrived at a huge factory to carry out an inspection, and enemies have fitted a bomb intended to take the building and you with it. The complication is that the factory is your own, and it has a great deal of security — which means the obstacles between you and the exit are systems you put there. Breaking through your own defences before the place explodes is the whole game, and the setting does the rest of the work, since a creepy industrial building with a countdown running is atmosphere you do not have to manufacture. There is a time element too, with the game inviting you to challenge friends to escape faster.
